President's Office – Justice Institute of BC Jack was President, St. Clair College, Windsor, Ontario (1994), and Dean, Science and Technology, George Brown College, Toronto (1992). Born in Guelph, Ontario, he holds a BA, an MPA (Hons), completed courses towards a Ph.D. in International Relations and Strategic Studies, York University; and was awarded a Doctor of Laws (Honoris Causa), University of Windsor. He has several academic achievement and research awards, and was runner-up to the United States-Italy Douhet-Mitchell International Air Power Trophy at the Air War College, United States Air Force Air University. He has completed Executive Management courses in education at the University of Monterrey, Mexico and Harvard University, and was a member of the Presidents’ Roundtable (2005), University of Oxford. Jack serves on a variety of civic, business and educational bodies representing charities, community, provincial, national and international interests, among which are: Chair, Education Division, United Way Campaign Cabinet; Director, Vancouver Board of Trade; Chair, New Westminster Spirit of BC Community Committee; Chair, Award and Recognition Committee, BC Aviation Council; Advisory Board member, Canadian Centre for Emergency Preparedness; Honorary Colonel of 442 Transport & Rescue Squadron, 19 Wing Comox, and an Elder of the International Centre for the Study of Critical Incident Decision Making (UK).
