Welcome To Security Training ProgramsSecurity Training Programs develops and offers many security related training courses, such as basic and advanced security training, gaming security, and other specialized courses. In addition, we are mandated to administer all approved security schools in British Columbia as well as maintain course training standards. Students can expect the highest level of instruction from professionals in their industry and be confident in obtaining their Certificate of Training upon completion of their courses. Security Services Act Use of Dogs when providing Security Guard Services Effective October 1, 2009, individuals and security businesses providing canine teams for the purpose of security guard service work in British Columbia must hold an authorization from the Registrar to continue offering this type of service post October 1, 2009. Advanced Security Training Individuals holding a security worker license who are required to carry and use handcuffs in the performance of their duties are now required to make application to add this condition to their Security Worker license through the Registrar, Security Services Act. In order to obtain this condition, individuals must successfully complete the 24 hour Advanced Security Training (AST) course provide by Instructors approved by the Justice Institute of BC. More...
