Online BST Course

The JIBC offers BST training through the Internet as an online course. This is the official BST1 online course that is based on the mandatory 40-hour security patrol training. Under the Security Services Act, security guards are required to complete mandatory training prior to eligibility for licensing.

BST is one of the two required courses for licensing. When you complete this online BST1 course and successfully complete the written examination, you will have the required courses for licensing.

Course Completion

If you wish for a transcript of the BST On-line course, you can contact the JIBC Registration Office at registration@jibc.ca.

For a $5 fee they will forward one to you.

Please find attached your certificate of training completion. This certificate is for your files and may be printed by you for your convenience. The certificate number is required for your Security License application.
