About Orientations
JIBC Reference Librarians conduct orientations to assist students
and faculty learn to use the library and services effectively. Orientations may
be provided to a group or on a one-to-one basis. The type of information
covered at each orientation is customized to meet the users needs.
Some examples:
- General overview of Library material
- Research skills
- APA Citation style
- Database searching, such as Quicklaw, Stat!Ref, etc.
Departmental and Divisional Staff will benefit from attending a session, as the knowledge gained about our diverse resources will allow them to provide better assistance in course development and delivery.
