Transfer Credits

Following is a list of other post-secondary colleges and universities that grant credit for our courses and/or programs, towards their programs.

Athabasca University, Criminal Justice
Athabasca University will grant graduates of the Centre for Conflict Resolution Certificate Program 9 credits: CRJS 3xx, CRJS 4xx, CRJS 489. These credits will fulfill 9 credits in the Required Major of the BPA-Criminal Justice degree program.

Camosun College, School of Business
Camosun College School of Business will grant credit for their ‘Business 215: Agreement Seeking at Work’ for successful completion of the following two Centre for Conflict Resolution courses: CCR102 Building Your Communication Tool Box, and CCR101 Foundations of Collaborative Conflict Resolution, Workplace Focus.

Vancouver Island University, Centre for Continuing Studies

University College of the Fraser Valley (UCFV), Adult Education
UCFV will grant graduates of the Centre for Conflict Resolution Certificate Program a block of 15 general (unassigned) credits towards their Bachelor of Arts (Adult Education) and/or towards their General Studies Diploma.

University of British Columbia (UBC), Continuing Studies, Centre for Intercultural Communication
UBC’s Centre for Intercultural Communication will accept a total of 35 face-to-face course hours combined from the following Centre for Conflict Resolution courses as equivalent to one 39-hour elective course for the Centre of Intercultural Communication’s Certificate in Intercultural Studies:

  • CCR100 Foundations of Collaborative Conflict Resolution (3 days)
  • CR101 Foundations of Collaborative Conflict Resolution, Workplace Focus (3 days)

University of Victoria (UVIC), Child & Youth Care
UVIC will grant graduates of the Centre for Conflict Resolution Certificate Program 3 units 100 level credit towards Bachelor of Arts (Child & Youth Care).

Continuing Education Credits


This section contains a list of professional bodies that grant Continuing Education (CE) credits to their members, usually for maintenance of license to practice, and have chosen to accept certain conflict resolution courses as CE credit.

British Columbia Ambulance Service (BCAS)
BCAS paramedics can earn Continuing Education (CE) credits, towards annual requirements to maintain their license, by taking conflict resolution courses. EMA Licensing will offer the following CE Credits:

CCR105:

Asserting Yourself in Conflict Situations (no prerequisite)
14 hours, may take once every 5 years

CCR111:

Coaching Strategies: Developing People to Resolve Conflict (no prerequisite)
14 hours, may take once every 5 years

 

CCR102:

Building Your Communication Tool Box (no prerequisite)
14 hours, may take once every 5 years

CCR100:

Foundations of Collaborative Conflict Resolution (no prerequisite)
21 hours, may take once every 5 years

CCR101:

Foundations of Collaborative Conflict Resolution (Workplace Focus) (no prerequisite)
21 hours, may take once every 5 years

CCR190:

Dealing with Anger (prerequisite: CCR100 or CCR101)
21 hours, may take once every 5 years

CCR108:

Managing the Hostile Individual (no prerequisite)
14 hours, may take once every 5 years

CCR128

Conflict on the Front Line: Leaders as Conflict Resolvers
21 hours, may take once every 5 years

Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) Designation Re-Certification
The B.C. Human Resources Management Association (BCHRMA) has approved that the successful completion of our courses in Conflict Resolution qualify as professional development activities when you apply for your CHRP re-certification.
