The Corrections & Community Justice Division (CCJD) was established as part of the Justice Institute of British Columbia in 1978. We train professionals who work with adult and youth offenders in institutional and community settings, to manage the risk they pose to the public. Featured Program: Sex Offender Awareness Training
The STATIC-99R and STABLE-2007/ACUTE-2007 are widely used actuarial risk and needs scales for the assessment of sexual offenders and the probability of sexual and violent recidivism. These web-based courses are offered part time through distance study, consisting of self-study, group interaction and online instruction.
